2026 Sangiovese Rosato, Hunter Valley
2026 Sangiovese Rosato, Hunter Valley
This Sangiovese was harvested on the 6th of February 2026 and left on skins for 6 hours before being pressed and fermented in stainless steel for 2 weeks and left on gross lees for 3 months to build mouth weight and texture. Bottled early May to retain freshness and encapsulate the layered elements of the palate.
Inspired by the dry rosés of the Southern Rhône and Provence, this Sangiovese Rosato displays vibrant red fruits and watermelon, underpinned by a persistent saline minerality. Harvested later than a traditional rosato, the wine benefits from enhanced phenolic ripeness, contributing subtle savoury nuances and a generous, seamless palate. A beautifully layered rosé, combining fruit purity, texture, and lively acidity.
